She's a perfect 10... but she wears a 12.

For someone who constantly has a go at the First Minister for being smug, I had to laugh Wendy Alexander's comments today about her time as leader of the Labour group in the Scottish Parliament.

Asked by Brian Taylor during a webcast from Labour's Scottish Conference at Aviemore to mark herself out of 10 for her performance as leader since her unopposed election in September.

Her response:

"Rising all the time, I think is the answer. Ten out of ten, ten out of ten."

Because when (not just one, it has to be said) Sunday newspapers have been calling for you to quit you are clearly performing well as leader. Maybe she is right. After all, hot air rises...

I'm quite happy - indeed, eager - to engage in debate with others when the topic provides opportunity to do so. I like knowing who I'm debating with and I'm fed up with some abusive anonymous comments so I've disabled those comments for awhile. If you want to comment, log in - it only takes a minute.
