Ex-MSP running anti-Nat blog?

Hearing a rumour (and I stress rumour) that anti-Nat rant-fest A Leaky Chanter is the "brainchild" of a former Labour MSP who remains upset that he lost his seat at the 2007 Scottish Parliament election.

If this is true, you really have to question the mentality of the people Labour select as candidates. And marvel in wonder at the kind of time the guy spends making up drivel about the party who took his seat (and his government) away from him.

And we thought all the characters had gone from politics.

Doesn't surprise me, I still insist that SU was a Labour cooncilor.

GJ is a QC - suggests he probably doesn't have the kind of time. He wasn't the rumour. I'll let you speculate though...

Are you thinking of a former MSP for an Ayrshire constituency who was also a minister?

BSH - SU is (if that homophobic, unfunny tube Scottish Onion is right) is a Tory supporter. I googled the name left on a derelict site and found he was a Tory supporter who whinged about Annabelle's performance.

Aberdonian -

That was a wee bit closer to the rumour I heard.

Keep the name-calling to a minimum though...

If you are going to start a rumour, name a name

Gordon Jackson would not do a blog - too low a fee

That's one down 15 or so to go

I actually though it was Ian Gray's currnet special media advisor Simon Pia that is behiod this blog - read it on the net, sounded plausible enough

But it's a free country, who really cares?

Nats - worry more about the mess you governemt is making of quite a few areas - or the phantom ex MSP might be back

To start:

Homecoming Scotland - what happened to it?

Ans your hosduing policy - a shmbles - spent more, got less. The genius of Andy Kerr re-invented

Thank god for Alex Neil. Easy now to blame Stewart Maxwell, but it he was just Nicola's glove puppet. Her idea of a good appointment!

Aye We Can,

Two things.

One, I wasn't starting the rumour. It's out there already. And as you say, free country - if spite and bile is your thing, go ahead.

And two, all I was doing was speculating upon the fact that the guy might have better things to do with his time than smear his political opponents.

And on my blog, I'll write about what I want to, thanks very much.

you are probably right, but I maybe envisaged him having the idea, and only contributing rarely.
it can be quite funny at times, jackson just sprang to mind as there is a lot of vitriol towards her, and her partner

From my infrequent visits, I've always been struck by the similarities between 'A Leaking Canker' and the unlamented 'Ridiculous Politics'.

From what I understand of current staffing arrangements in the Labour group, it might not be impossible that there's a connection...
